got scrap?

I'm participating in a scrap swap with some blogging friends and here are my scrap packages all ready to mail. Each little package contains at least 25 different scraps and each scrap is at least 25 sq in or bigger. I am excited to get a bunch of new scraps in return. Now, what to make with all those scraps? I've got a couple of projects I'm thinking about...

Oh that reminds me of a fun challenge I participated in a couple years ago! A quilty friend collected 10$ from each of us and prepared the fabric we were all to use to make a quilt. We had to use at least a piece of each fabric she put together for the challenge and we could add another fabric or two if I remember right. What we didn't know until she handed over the fabric was that she had put together about 75 pieces each approx 9 x 11 inches. We all had the same bundle of fabric... it was fun to see at the big reveal what we had each done.... there are pictures in my webshots album...

Anna,

Hi, it's Amber from Just Sew. I met you today and I wanted to check out your blog before I forgot the address! It's a great blog! I love your quilt below in the browns, reds and blues. And, your train quilt is so cute! That is so great to be able to say that you did ALL the work on it. What a treasure for your little nephew to have.

Well, it was great to have met another young quilter! Good luck with your projects!

P.S. The Alpine Quilt Guild is a great Guild that I started going to a couple of months ago. If you're looking for another fun quilting group it's the last Tues. of every month in the Red Church Bldg. (across from the Peppermint Place in Alpine.) It meets at 8 p.m.

Take care!
